Application is a content block with some code logic behind it which decides what content to display and how. You can check them out here in Apps Rack section. After installing an Application it will appear on your home page. By clicking on title you can drag and drop it's dialog anywhere on page or delete by clicking on x on top right corner.

Business module is a Business Directory structure that allows businesses to be exposed to the network. The directory listing allows to show all business aspects such as location, maps, description, images and nearly any business information it may require. People may also become a fan of this business, which creates additional exposure to the network. network users may comment and rank the business as well.
